At the 2004 World Series of Poker Championship event, three times the amount of gamblers entered in comparison with 2003. This is especially surprising taking into account the fact that entry cost $10,000. Thanks to these 2576 participants that tournament has been called one of the best, interesting and unpredictable ones. About 1000 of these gamblers has got seats into the competition through preliminary tournaments at the online poker card rooms. Near 316 players, the eventual champion Greg "Fossilman" Raymer was among them, have been sent directly from PokerStars.com. Some devoted No Limit Hold'em tournaments’ gamblers consider, that these poker competitions have to improve and develop with changing constantly time and it is inadmissibly to stand still. So they have hopes that No Limit Hold'em will return to it’s old outstanding traditions and canons soon. With a number of participants exceeding 2500, even the best and the most skilled world-known player, has too little chances to receive the event within even the whole lifetime, and even if he or she has entered there lots of times. Poker, containing tournament poker, is all directed at receiving the best of it over the long run. But nowadays, when we may still receive the best of it on our stakes, there is not any way at all to guarantee any kind of payoff on that pending our lifetimes. The long run is too short now. Many times ago somebody could best several hundred participants and win back to back titles and then place second the next year. At modern No Limit Hold’em tournaments you can do everything right and not to make mistakes, but not to become a conqueror even at least once at your life. But don’t afraid to train, to try and to play. Just imagine how it would be wonderful if you win super prize! Taking part in such event can have an important positive effect for top level gamblers, but it is something like an opportunity to receive 10,000 to one odds on a $100,000,000 lottery drawing. Large odds, a stake you would better distinctly make, but still you are likely to lose -- and there are not any arrangements you can make for it.
